The Clubhouse of Toms River

16 Washington St., Toms River, NJ 08753

(There is no apostrophe in Toms River)

We will have a poster by one month before.

We usually do a month of promotion for most shows.

All bands get 30 minute sets, unless otherwise stated.

Honestly though, we’re not big sticklers on this.

CAPACITY

The Clubhouse of Toms River is a 120 - 150 Cap room. Depending on the event, we will provide an online ticket link.

TECH SPECS

We provide audio and lighting operators for events. We have a Chauvet LED lighting system that is operated through Chamsys MagicQ via macbook. PA: Behringer XR18 w/ipad, SM58 Microphones, Sennheiser e835 Microphones, 15-inch 2-way Active JBL PRX615 Speakers for main PA, Yamaha BR12m speakers for monitors. We have additional vocal mics, instrument mics, and monitors.

BACKLINE

There’s a backline. (3) 8ohm guitar cabs, (1) 4x10 bass cab. Drum shells provided. Bring snare, kick pedal, cymbals, and cymbal stands. We also have a hihat stand and cymbal stands. Due to the small size of our space, we recommend using our backline so that we may have efficient changeovers.

LOAD IN

You will load in directly in front of the building. There is an area where you may temporarily park in order to load and unload your vehicles. Following load in, you may park in our parking lot behind the building.

PARKING

The venue has parking available behind the building on Hyers Street. Street parking is free after 5PM.

CONTENT

We do not tolerate hate speech. We are not in the interest of censorship but we are even more disinterested in making The Clubhouse an unwelcoming environment. Please do not use slurs (on stage or off) to refer to a group you do not belong to. For example, do not say the N-word if you are not black. Do not say “f*g” if you are not queer. And do not say “b*tch” or “c*nt” if you are a man. Respect others.

PHOTO RELEASE

The Clubhouse of Toms River may take photo and video recordings of your performance to be shared on our social media. Please let us know if you have any concerns about this or do not wish to be photographed.

ALCOHOL

If you are over the age of 21, feel free to BYOB (No hard liquor). TIP FOR TOURING BANDS: If you are unfamiliar with NJ, you can not purchase alcohol (including beer and wine) anywhere but a liquor store. There is one about a mile from the venue.

Let me know if you have any questions, we'd be happy to answer them!

ADA AND OTHER ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

Currently, The Clubhouse of Toms River is not fully accessible. Our building has wheelchair access that does not currently reach ADA requirements.

We also do not have an ADA restroom. We are working hard to rectify this by the end of April. Please call us if you have specific questions or needs so we can do our best to accommodate them.

If you have difficulty standing for long periods of time, please alert a staff member and we can provide chairs near the stage to accommodate you.

Similarly, we can create a space near the front of the stage for those with wheelchairs.

All of our shows are capable of being operated with those prone to photosensitivity in mind. Please let a staff member know if you are sensitive to flashing lights.

The Clubhouse provides free earplugs and water. Alert a staff member if these are not readily available.

All service animals are welcome. Please feel free to advise us on how to best accommodate the needs of both you and your service animal.

With advance notice, we can seek to provide a sign language interpreter.

Any of our printed materials can be provided in large print versions.

If you have a food allergy that we should be made aware of, please inform a staff member.

If you are prone to other sensitivities, please find a staff member or email theclubhousetr@gmail.com. We are more than happy to accommodate anyone to the best of our abilities.

We encourage everyone to use the bathroom of their choice.

Be respectful of all Clubhouse visitors.

We encourage our guests to ask people their pronouns.
